Lilium martagon var. cattaniae

Turk's Cap Lily

Attractive to pollinatorsPerfect for cutting
A beautiful form of the Turkscap lily with splendid, fleshy, dark purple-red, unspotted flowers with a lacquered finish and said to have the appearance of having been carved out of frozen bramble jelly! These are larger than those of the ordinary Turkscap, borne on taller stems and very desirable. 6ft (1.8m)

This is the Turkscap Lily, cultivated for at least 400 years in this country (indeed, it is possibly a true native and is found naturalised in many places), and a very hardy, long-suffering plant; a good one to try in impossible gardens.

Please note we supply seeds and not bulbs of these bulbous plants unless otherwise stated.
