R.H.S. Award Winner Not to be confused with the greenhouse Geraniums which, as everyone now knows, are Pelargoniums (q.v.), these are rather fine, hardy perennial plants, many suited to the rockery. Generally, they are shy seeders and seeds are difficult to collect. However, unless otherwise stated, packets contain at least 12 seeds.
Description:
Not only because of its local connections - Walney Island (once Lancashire but now in Cumbria), about the only place it is found, is but a few miles from Ulverston - are we pleased to have again seeds of this rare and highly desirable variety. Generally similar to the type species, Geranium sanguineum, it is a much dwarfer plant and of a more spreading habit yet bears flowers of a similar size but flesh-coloured veined purple. The plant remains in decorative bloom for many months. Hardy throughout the British Isles. (Our seed comes from plants in cultivation). 6 ins. Packet of 15 seeds.
