A rare, small shrub of loose habit – so loose indeed it appreciates the zimmer frame of other shrubs for support – it is in fact a very elegant, narrow-leaved, foliage plant. But it is the unique and ornamental seed capsules that make this plant so interesting – bright pink and five-horned (you guessed it!), jester cap-like, they dangle from the slender stems like so many decorations on a Christmas tree.
