R.H.S. Award Winner Herbaceous, spiny, usually perennial plants, beloved of flower arrangers for their striking foliage and flower heads.
Description:
Perhaps best viewed at night, at midnight of course, in the light of the full moon is this variety, originally discovered in Turkish beech/pine forests, that might be considered as a rather fine, exaggerated almost, version of ‘Miss Wilmott’s Ghost.’ With metallic silvery-blue leaves, it bears in early summer large heads of lovely lime-green flowers with blue stamens backed by large and conspicuous bracts, the whole later developing a shining silvery hue. Hardy throughout the British Isles. 2 ft.
