It is a small deciduous tree with attractive, strongly scented leaves, four inches in length and velvety beneath. The fruits are preceded by rather strange, fragrant, three-petalled, greenish-yellow flowers. Although a winter temperature of 50ºF would probably be necessary for the plant to flourish and fruit, it has been reported as surviving at as low as 26ºF. Packet of 12 seeds.
