One of the most decorative of Aloes is this fine species from the Karoo, an arid area in South Africa great for grazing sheep and goats if little else. Forming handsome rosettes of smooth, broad, flat, bluish- or grey-green leaves covered with a waxy white bloom, it bears large rounded heads of bright coral-red flowers. 3 ft.
