R.H.S. Award Winner (A mildly amusing thought on the nomenclature of this genus – the name originally given these plants and a name still sometimes used by gardeners and in the trade is Calla, yet this name ceased to be the correct name in 1818: one hears that horticulturists are a conservative lot!)
Description:
Perhaps the most striking of Arum Lily cultivars is this splendid plant with large, slightly frilled spathes up to 8 ins. long, a creamy-white colour with eye-catching bright green veins and markings. (Since writing this we have had the opportunity to carry out our own trials on this plant: this has shown us two things:- (1) our description does not do ‘Green Goddess’ justice! (2) the plant comes gloriously true from seed; every seedling produced enormous, exotic blooms just as described and just as seen in pictures of the variety. We are reliably informed they’d set you back the best part of £2.00 per stem at your local florist!) 2-3 ft. Packet of 10 seeds.
