| Even if one can't pronounce the name (you'll have to practise it in the bath), this is one of the classic garden plants. It is a perennial, herbaceous species with glaucous, bluish-green leaves, and bearing in spring glorious, large, single, lemon-yellow flowers up to 5 ins. across with numerous golden stamens and purple stigmas. These are followed in autumn by particularly striking seed pods. 1½-2 ft. Packet of 20 seeds. | |
