From open, grassy slopes, often by streams and lakes, of the Himalayas of Pakistan and Kashmir, comes this very hardy perennial. Forming large, upright clumps of foliage, it bears from July to September six inch whorled spikes of pure blue (not purplish) flowers with an attractive, contrasting white blob on the lower lip. Makes an unusual cut flower. 2-2½ ft.
