Search Criteria:Meconopsis betonicifolia ‘Hensol Violet’ Papaveraceae
Genus:Meconopsis More from the Meconopsis genus
Species:betonicifolia
Variety:‘Hensol Violet’
Family Name: Papaveraceae More seeds with the Family name Papaveraceae
Seed Catalogue No.:850E
Introduction:This genus contains some of the most exquisitely beautiful of all flowering plants. Not the easiest of plants to grow, they do best in moderately rich, woodland soil; moist yet with perfect drainage. However, do try them – we guarantee that when you succeed in flowering them, there will be celebrations and the neighbours will be invited in to see for themselves.
Description:Coming largely true from seed is this much admired form of the type species with rich purple-violet flowers. Perhaps rather surprisingly, these blend in well when grown mixed with plants of the ordinary, type species when they seem to make the blues of the latter seem even bluer! 3-5 ft.
Classification: Hardy, Perennial
Price: £2.73 per packet
