Amongst the most of magnificent trees, hardy in the temperate regions. Propagation from seed is a slow process – however, with even a small, well-grown Magnolia species costing at least £20.00, there is a strong economic case for starting from seed. And the sooner you start . . . (and don’t forget, they will merit their place in your garden as superb foliage plants long before they flower).
