Closely related to the well known “Amaryllis” so often grown as a house plant, and looking somewhat like a half-sized version, this is a beautiful bulbous plant with very narrow, somewhat glaucous leaves, and bearing in May and June lovely funnel-shaped, golden flowers flushed coppery-brown on the outside. Although perhaps best as a greenhouse plant, it can prove hardy if a warm position can be found for it. Requires heated glass (minimum 41°F (5°C)). 6 ins. (Please note that we supply seeds and not bulbs of this bulbous plant.)
