| This is a handsome and attractive plant for the border with white, cottony-hairy stems and variegated, softly thistly foliage. In summer it bears very freely dense branched clusters of very lovely, soft lilac-purple flowers that are excellent for cutting. Although it flowers freely the first year from seed, our supplier considers that it has the most attractive winter rosette of any plant, and you may choose to grow this as a biennial to enjoy the cheer these will give to your garden in the depths of winter. 1½-3 ft. | |
