Introduced in America in 1893 and enjoyed ever since is this fine, attractive, outdoor variety with good strong plant habit and producing numerous cylindrical, six or seven inch fruits, ivory-white in colour at all stages of growth. These have crisp, firm, nearly white flesh with a very mild, sweet flavour, and although bred primarily for slicing for your salads, can also be used for pickling. An early fruiting variety.
