| Although perhaps not the easiest of plants to accommodate, we thought that nevertheless you might well be interested in this Giant Bamboo. Yes, this is a grass but, unlike the ones in your lawn, this eventually reaches 80-100 ft. when fully grown, the main stems (culms) bearing a profusion of very leafy branches. Growth is slow at first but eventually the culms can shoot up 12 ins. or more in a day. A substance called "Bamboo Milk" can be obtained from the culms which is said to be both a stimulant and an aphrodisiac. | |
