Description:We are very pleased to have been able to obtain seeds again of this very scarce, much sought after and wonderful variety of the Colorado or White Fir, itself one of the most beautiful of all conifers. Discovered only recently in one isolated valley in New Mexico, USA, ‘Swift’s Silver’ is a quite beautiful tree with almost pure silver foliage – indeed one picture we have seen of it gives an impression of a snow-covered tree in a green meadow completely devoid of snow! Early trials have shown that the silver colour manifests itself in first year seedlings. Perfect for Christmas trees (no need for artificial snow!), both small and large, it has very neat growth and, given the opportunity, develops into a tree of excellent, upright form. A tree of great potential. Packet of 15 seeds.
